Shane Synnott was born in Ireland in 1971. He received a BA in painting from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and an MA in painting from the Royal College of Art in London. He has received several grants and awards including the CAP Foundation studio residency award in Dublin, the Artists’ Work Program Residency at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the T.I. Group scholarship to the Royal College of Art and the Irish Arts Council Post Graduate Award. He has exhibited his work in Britain, Ireland and Europe. He lives and works in Geneva.
